how to remove smells from electric wok?
i have just noticed my partner didn`t clean our electric wok about 1 week ago, it had mould growing on the left over food on the sides of the wok, i have scrubbed it so many times but there is a discusting smell coming from it that i cant seeem to get rid of, and it looks like there is also burnt oil/sauce on the sides but when i scrub it the teflon has stared to come off, does anyone know how i can get rid of this smell, any replies would be much appreciated. Mix up 1/4 cup baking soda, 1/2 cup lemon juice - place in wok, then pour hot boiling water to the rim of wok. Let sit overnite.
Or try 2 cups white vinegar, fill up wok with water, turn on and let simmer for an hour.
