Packaging mint cookies for mailing...?
I've found that when I package any cookie containing mint of any kind along with other cookies in the traditional Christmas tin, the mint aroma and even flavor transmits to every cookie in the tin. I wrap each separate type of cookie in plastic wrap, then place them in the tin.
Is there any trick for packaging my homemade goodies containing mint, peppermint extract, etc. so that they don't compromise all the other flavors in the tin? I hate to just refrain from using those ingredients altogether. I've found such yummy recipes that use them.
Do you have an extra tin for mailing just the minty type of goodies? I think that may be your best bet. Please don't refrain from making your recipes. I love mint (especially peppermint) so much that I could easily eat only minty cookies with no problem.
